TBT | Oxford Exchange

Been putting this post off to the side for quite some time until it became a throwback from the summer! and here it goes....

For P’s birthday weekend, I wanted to treat him to something new but not so new as most of our fellow Floridians have already stepped foot and wandered into this 24,000 sqft fancy establishment called; Oxford Exchange. Brought back to life from its original state, a horse stable, one could say that this has reached new heights in the renovations world. Reminiscent of the rat pack age of New York and it’s fancy banks and classy tastes , the exchange welcomes you in all of its shiny checkered floors, carefully crafted wooden detailed walls and soaring ceilings making ways for natural light to highlight every nook and cranny.

We walked the upstairs, the Commerce Club and peaked into the rentable offices , and down into the shop where most of our time was spent perusing at an array of goods from letterpress stationary to traveling books and children’s quirky wooden toys. Having to finally say we were done with our visit, we left with a gigantic Mast Brothers Bakers Chocolate, oh so fancy.

Had a couple of minutes to spear before our reservation and were lucky enough to sit in the dome retro chairs situated in the center of all, between TeBella Bar and Buddy Brew, the tea and coffee front runners of Tampa.

Happy to say that we had splendid service at the restaurant during lunch, all the while they were hustling and bustling.

With our west coast visit being typed up and scheduled, we left the Oxford Exchange Market (OE) open for another weekend visit!
